Bill Zebub, little by little, is re-editing skits and public stunts from the old days, for a DVD titled "The Early Skits of Bill Zebub."
The DVD will be a limited edition. At first, it was to be distributed the same way as other movies, but this is material that is probably of interest to die-hard fans (and no one else), so the DVD might only be available at horror conventions where Bill Zebub makes appearances.
Some of the skits and public pranks will be posted on youtube and other such sites, for the free enjoyment of anyone who wishes to view the comedy, at the lower quality. The original footage was shot in 8mm, VHS, and sometimes digital - all were consumer camcorders.
In the early days, Bill Zebub edited simply by linking two VCR's together. When he worked on footage with a computer editing system, it was heaven. "Back then, it was impossible to control the exact moment of a cut. The VCR's had rollback. so despite pausing a clip on the nearly exact moment that I wanted to cut, the system would roll back, or delay in starting the next recording point. Editors these days complain about the tiresome work, but they are working on systems in which they control everything. I worked with chaos in the early days, so I appreciate the luxuries of digital editing. But of course, I am limited in the miracles that I can work into the older footage, for a variety of reasons. But please enjoy scenes from a time when I didn't have a clue...."
